India is a very big country. It has hundreds of cultures, languages, and people from all over the world have made it home for thousands of years.

India is a hub for languages. There are hundreds of languages and India has the second-highest number of languages.

There is a huge misconception among many people around the world that Indians only speak only one language and they think that Hindi is the only language that the people in India speak. This is far from the actual truth. India has more than 700 languages and today we are going to speak only about the languages that have the official status with the Indian government.

There are 22 official languages in India as mentioned in the Indian Constitution.
